Corn and Apple Festival

Sunday 28 September

We need the following Items:

1.  3 Large Pots to boil Corn (A Dozen or so Cobs at a time),

2.  3 Propane Burners that can rapidly heat the water,

3.  4 pounds of Butter melted in a Pan for dipping,

4.  4 Dozen Macintosh Apples,

5.  5 Dozen Dinner Rolls,

6.  3 Large Cooked Hams (enough to serve 60 slices, or 20 slices each),

7.  10 Apple Pies (enough to serve 60 people),

8.  7 Litres of Apple Cider (the kind sold in Grocery Stores)

Here is how we make the meal:

1.  We boil the water and cook the corn,

2.  When all the corn is cooked and removed the Hams are boiled in the same water for a few minutes just to heat them (because they are already cooked),

3.  People butter their own corn and take a slice of Ham on their plate, along with a bun.

4.  For Dessert there is Apple pie and/or raw apples.

5.  To drink we have the Apple Cider and other refreshments like Coffee.

This all takes place on the Fourth Sunday of September outside in our Parking Lot after Worship.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to bring along a friend.  Bring Lawn Chairs to sit on and even TV Tray tables if wanted.

There will be a sign up sheet passed around for people to bring the items we need and for volunteers to cook the food.
