Mission and Vision Statement

This vision statement is a way for us all to be looking at the same horizon when we talk together about faith.

The purpose is to create a document by which our Chapel can evaluate initiatives and establish priorities to accomplish our work.

Projects and initiatives proposed or suggested will be measured as to how they fit with the values and mission as set out in this vision statement.

This Vision document sets out the Principles and Values by which we will set our Goals and measure our growth as a Chapel within the Canadian Forces.

As St. George's Protestant Chapel we reflect the love of God as lived by Jesus Christ.

We value love, trust, acceptance of the person, a sense of belonging and respect for all God’s creation.

We are led by God to:

· CELEBRATE in worship,

· RESPOND to the needs of humanity,

· PROVIDE opportunities for learning and growing,

· CALL people to accept a relationship with Jesus Christ,

· SHARE friendship and encourage community,

· OFFER prayer and pastoral support,

· ATTRACT leaders and develop leadership.

Goal setting will follow as each group aligns its tasks with the vision, values and mission.
