Matthew 10:29 Are not two
sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart
from the will of your Father. [30] And even the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. [31] So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Worthless?
In the Army we often proclaim a piece of kit as “NS” (non-serviceable). Paper, once used, is worthless. Other things with that distinction are some of our vehicles, a few tents, a Coleman stove or two… can you name any others? But, one thing we should never call NS is another human being. You and I are worth a great deal in the eyes of God. God counts us as worthy of the priceless sacrifice of his Son on the cross. To God, you and I are His most valued creation. |
